Understanding „CAM“
The terminology Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) has superseded what was previously referred to as, “non-conventional medicine.” CAM includes all terms from traditional or natural medicine or naturopathy and also includes homeopathy.
Studies and Databases
Presently there are many studies on the positive use of CAM! Here you will find individual studies and also references to extensive databases. The CAM community and ANME through its work continually engages in developing a fitting and realistic design for CAM-studies.
Health in all Policies
Health topics are included in the United Nations’ seventeen sustainable development goals (SDGs). However, the political institutions have yet to prove whether a purely disease-related vantage point-pathogenesis can be replaced by a health-promoting vantage point-salutogenesis.
Prevention and Patient`s Rights
Health literacy and self-improvement is the foundation of prevention; inclusive in this is all activities to strengthen the immune system. However, natural prevention is more than hygiene and infection control, or imaging techniques. CAM methods offer a full-range and wide-breadth of preventive measures and practices.
